Frequently Asked Questions.

  • Book online for a time and day that suits you, or email or phone our Patient Services Team, available Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. Please note, prepayment will be taken before your appointment in order to secure your spot.
  • If it is your first time booking online with us, you will need to register an account as your first step. Return bookings will need to sign into their account. Please note, the appointment will only be successfully booked when payment goes through and you receive an appointment confirmation email (in addition to the email confirming your account registration, if it is your first time).
  • You will then receive an email confirmation once your online appointment has been scheduled, with instructions of how to attend the online appointment will be included also. We recommend that you use a device with mic, speakers and camera (i.e. a smartphone or a laptop/PC with webcam).
  • During your consultation, your dietitian will assess your diet and lifestyle, and find out more about your health goals. For those who would like to discuss weight, weighing scales and a measuring tape are useful to have on hand, but we will help you with the rest.
  • Please ensure you log on about 10 minutes before your appointment to ensure the technology is working okay for you, and to ensure you get the most out of your appointment.

During your initial consultation your digital dietitian will:

  • Assess key aspects of your health and previous medical history.
  • Look at your overall diet and lifestyle.
  • Create a clear and practical action plan to achieve your health goals discussed during your appointment.
  • Provide you with a starter meal plan tailored for your preferences and lifestyle.
  • Provide you with a recipe book, specific to your caloric and nutrition requirements.

You can let us know if there is anything more specific that you would like to receive and we will do our best to accomodate this.

Every member of our nutrition team is a qualified CORU and INDI Registered Dietitian. But what’s the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?

The main differences are the type of study that has been completed by each professional, and the regulations attached to each title. A dietitian has met the national and international standards for professional legislation. Dietitians are the only nutrition professionals to be regulated by law, and they are governed by an ethical code (much like doctors are) to ensure that they always work to the highest standard. You can check the register here.

On the other hand, someone who has the title of a nutritionist is not protected by law in many countries, and it is not a regulated term. All dietitians are considered to be nutritionists; however, nutritionists without a dietetics qualification cannot take on the specialised role of a dietitian.

For someone to become a registered dietitian, they need to have completed a 4 year university degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, or a 3-year science degree followed by a Masters Degree in Nutrition. To qualify as a dietitian, practical training in hospitals or clinics is also required. Only qualified practitioners, who have met the required education qualifications including the practical component and who continue to maintain their knowledge and skills through continuing professional development, can use that “Registered Dietitian” or “Dietitian” title.

You can find out more about the differences here.
