Find out how our team of experienced dietitians can help you.
Cholesterol is a type of fat found in your blood and whilst a certain amount is necessary for our body to produce hormones, high levels can cause problems. Blood tests done by your GP will reveal whether your levels are higher than normal, and if they are then there is usually an imbalance between the beneficial high density lipoprotein (HDL) and bad low-density lipoprotein (LDL).
If the dangerous LDL levels are higher than the good HDL levels, this encourages the development of coronary heart disease, a cardiovascular condition in which your arteries become narrowed due to fat deposits which, as a result, constrains the movement of blood to your heart and brain.
Our virtual clinic makes it easy to connect with one of our specialist clinicians, while still ensuring personalised treatment and effective results, wherever you are.

It is a good idea to check in with your GP for a simple blood test to determine your cholesterol levels.
Booking an appointment with a Dietitian will be your next step. A Dietitian can help you to optimise your diet and lifestyle to help you to reduce your cholesterol levels back to healthy ranges.
High levels of non-beneficial LDL cholesterol increases your risk of heart attacks, strokes, and other heart health complications as the blood vessels that bring oxygen and other nutrients become narrowed with the fat deposits and your body must work harder to pass it through the increasingly small spaces.
The power of nutrition has been shown time and time again to lowering cholesterol.
During your initial consultation, your Dietitian will assess your diet and lifestyle. We will equip you with the knowledge and skills to manage your cholesterol for good. Your Dietitian will also carry out a complete nutritional assessment, diet history, body composition analysis including weight, BMI, waist circumference, body fat percentage, lean body mass, waist to hip measurement and more.
