The Physio Experts.
Specialist Treatments From Chartered Physiotherapists.
What Is Physiotherapy?
The Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP – the professional body for the physiotherapy profession in Ireland) outlines physiotherapy as a profession concerned with helping to restore wellness to people following injury, pain or disability.
Physiotherapists use their extensive scientific knowledge of anatomy and physiology to:
Assess, diagnose and treat injuries & conditions that affect people of all ages and social groups
Assist a patient to prevent injury in the workplace or on the sports field
Promote healthier lifestyles for all
By choosing Spectrum Physio you can be guaranteed that your clinician is chartered and registered with the ISCP and CORU (which regulates health and social care professionals).
This means that they have undergone rigorous scientific training and that they continue to stay up to date with current practices.
Spectrum Physio.
The Spectrum Physio Approach
Our aim is to give you relief from pain and to provide a long-term solution for your issue. We strive to work with you and prevent re-occurrence with the aim that you won’t need to attend for the same condition again.
To get these results our team will explain our treatment plan at each new appointment, outlining the estimated number of sessions needed, what we can do, and in turn what you will need to do to achieve success. If you follow these treatment plans, the likelihood of returning for the same problem will significantly reduce.
The Spectrum Physio Phases of Treatment
To help achieve your goals our team will take you through the phases of treatment using a variety of skills, including exercise, education, manipulation, mobilisation and massage.
Acute Phase
This stage is particularly relevant if you have acute pain. The aim is to settle any inflammation or swelling and to reduce pain you may be experiencing.
Baseline Phase
When the acute pain has resolved, we work to restore the body to pre-injury flexibility and begin a personalised strengthening programme.
Prevention Phase
This is key to preventing re-occurrence. We target the cause of the original injury, focusing on returning to optimal strength and correcting compensations.
"Early treatment is key to decreasing back pain and getting back to normal movement. A management plan that concentrates on advice, education and exercise will help to return you to your best life and prevent risk of recurrance."
